“In my work I use glass to hide and reveal different facets of the reality. In this piece I recovery the image of my great-grandparents and the role that they had. In the complex relationship between culture and freedom the photography becomes a witness of what we must be and what we should be. In this sculpture the opal glass protects the bodies and defines two shapes of the same height, inflated, smooth and shiny. The backlighting reveals us the shadows of the two paper bodies and their defects. I made them in paper because is a material that doesn’t hold the wear and tear of time.”
